No disrespect was intended to Dan or Ninja, or any other fan, it was two females that was disrespectful to me. It was the writer's link a couple of females had an issue with.which I removed the same day, but of course they wanted to call me names.Īnyways, that's what happened. It's upsetting that you or Ninja would have to take time out to address an issue that some other overzealous fans had a problem with. I do not need to pirate anything from anyone. I place my name and logo on every work I do.I have enough imagination to create my own work. I was really offended that someone would think I would pirate someone else's work. well.I contacted the writer that does the fanfics, she appreciated the art, she just did not want her tumblr link to be associated with it. It's as simple as this if I do a Spartacus inspired piece of art/photo-manipulations, and I dedicate to someone else.what's the issue ? It's almost like me posting a picture of dan on my page, and then putting your link, so people can check you out. It's just that they are a couple of over possessive fans who wanted to make a stink of the matter. I removed the link from your board of the above writer that does the fanfics.
The problem arised when another fan, hit up your page.having a stink about it. I gave out her link so others could read her work.which is damned good. The problem was.I dedicated the artwork to a female that writes fanfics on tumblr. The below message I sent to Dan's inbox, which explains the whole misunderstanding:Įxcuse me, no disrespect, but that picture I posted on your board was MY ARTWORK, like the dozens I have posted on your board, without an issue. BUT I WILL NOT BE CAUGHT UP IN THIS SORT OF BULL AGAIN. IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO TAKE ONE OF MY ARTWORK FROM HERE, AND REPOST IT ON DAN'S FACEBOOK. I WILL NOT BE POSTING ANY MORE OF MY ARTWORK ON DAN'S PAGE. I AM AN ARTIST, AND KNOW THE DOS AND DON'TS !!! I HAVE NEVER PIRATED SOMEONE ELSE'S WORK. I always place Spartacus/ Nagron themed art on Dan's board first, and then I place it on Tumblr, and then this site ( Which I created to house all the artwork I do dedicated to the show ) PIRACY ?! You know, it would've been good to get Dan or Ninja, to ask me what happened.īut instead, I get accussed of piracy.
PERIOD ! I spend hours doing these photo montages of Spartacus ( A show I love ) Why would I waste my time on something I wasn't interested in? The second image is the message Dan sent to me.
I put my name on work I do ! You will either see that logo or my full name with the date the art was done. See the yellow logo on the bottom right hand corner ? That's my initals. It was upsetting to get a message from Dan/Ninja Admin that I had PIRATED the pic from Tumblr.
As the series develops, the story follows the betrayals and machinations of Roman life and a tale of one man's heroic quest for vengeance. This Photo-manipulation I did, caused quite a ruckas on Dan Feuerrigel's Facebook page. Spartacus is purchased by Batiatus for gladiator training, who promises to help him find Sura if he proves himself in training. He becomes a favorite of the crowd, leading Senator Albinius to commute his death sentence to a life of slavery. Spartacus, however, proves to be a formidable gladiator, and defeats the four gladiators tasked with executing him. Captured by Glaber, Spartacus is condemned to death as a Gladiator, whilst his wife Sura is condemned to slavery. However after Glaber reneges on the deal and switches his attentions from the Getae to attack Mithridates in Asia Minor, the Thracians feel betrayed and mutiny. The Thracians had been persuaded by Claudius Glaber to serve as auxiliaries in the Roman legions in a campaign against the Getae, who had often plundered Thracian lands.
The inspiration behind this series is the Thracian Gladiator Spartacus, who led a slave uprising against the Roman Republic.
